AHi all,
I'm tackling a red velvet cake today for a birthday and it's to feed 30. I've found this UK recipe online...
http://allrecipes.co.uk/recipe/7053/red-velvet-cake.aspx
But it's only 12 servings
Can this recipe be doubleD without any disasters. Or does anyone know of any tried and tested UK recipes that the ingredients can easily be multiplied?
I will be doing the cake in either an 11 or 12 inch square tin would the cooking time and temperature also need to be adjusted...
Any advice would be super! Thanks, Lauren
Don't know about the recipes, but a 12" square is awfully big for just thirty servings. Can you not do a smaller cake?
ATheres a thread on here for UK bakers. ...not saying you need to to only post on that thread just saying maybe you'll have better luck. .. HAPPY BAKING! !
Or maybe im reading your post wrong. ..not sure if you're are in the U K or not...
