AHi all,

I am new to the forum but have loved some of the recipes here. I have a 9 inch and 7 inch Caramel wasc in my oven as I type. The batter seemed to taste really sweet. I did think of using dulce de luche for filling the cakes but am now worried that might just become over the top sweet.

Any ideas for not so sweet fillings that might compliment a Caramel cake?

A somewhat bittersweet chocolate would be lush.

But in my world, "too sweet" rarely happens.  Like never.

AThanks for the quick reply.

You actually sound like my husband lol.. When he tasted the batter he said its divine not overly sweet at all..

I guess I will try the dulce de luche this time having bought a few cans. But definitely trying a dark chocolate ganache next time.
