I am making some tiers like this for a cake.  Cake will be covered in fondant.

Which is better - corn syrup or thinned piping - to paint on cake and then adhere the sanding sugar?

Once the sugar is on the fondant cake, has anyone successfully refrigerated the cake overnight?

I refrigerate my fondant cakes in boxes all the time, no issues - but not sure how the sanding sugar will

hold up.

Frankly, the easiest, quickest way to make that cake is with a bc base, then just apply the crystal sugar.  I would not do it in fondant.  And I never refrigerate a cake, so I'm no help with that.  I guess not much help in general . . .
