AHi I'm wanting to make fondant with cmc powder ballerina bodice's for my daughters ballerina party caKe I want to make these ahead of time

I want to pipe some detail on the bodice with royal icing Can anyone tell me how long royal icing lasts? Would it keep for a month stored In a cardboard box (like my fondant bodice's) or is it unsafe to store royal icing? Any help would be great! Thanks

it will last a month -- if it's colored keep it out of the light --

AThanks so much ! So it will keep on the fondant for a month Is this with store bought royal icing or icing made with egg powder? I've only ever made royal icing with real egg whites and im worried about making people sick!

i mean depending on the weather -- if you are in a high humidity area it might degrade -- i use both royals made with egg white and made with the meringue powder -- it's typically a stable thing to do -- different variations of weather and whatever can impact it -- your own testing is your best 'advice' --

royal doesn't make people sick --
