AHello, all! So I've got a customer wanting t two tiered cake, pink and purple with a metallic sheen over the whole thing. I am wondering if painting with luster dust, or an airbrush color, or buying one of those spray cans of color. Has anyone had any experience with these methods on fondant? Hoping to figure out what will work best.

Thank you!

I've had success with using luster dust over fondant, especially if you just want a metallic "sheen" and not a super-glittery effect. I bought a makeup brush (with big fluffy bristles, like you use for loose powder) to use only for cakes, of course, and used it to apply luster dust all over a cake and it gave me just the look I wanted.

I used the edible variety, of course :-D
