Hello.  I didn't see a thread on this but if there is one already I apologize.  I am in the process of making a stiletto out of gum paste for a cake next week via the video I saw by Pink Box on YouTube.  She recommends making a week in advanced to let dry and harden.  I want to let it properly harden but I do not want to leave it exposed due to dust or anything else that can happen to it.  Would placing it in an airtight container still allow it to properly dry? Any other tips?

APlace it in a cardboard cake box, to protect it from dust, insects and fading. And it'll let air in to let it dry..
