ASo I am looking for a cupcake stand I can use to potentially hire out to customers for weddings etc. I have seen some lovely acrylic ones that look like they can have more or less tiers depending how many cupcakes you have but my worry is are they strong enough if you have a cutting cake on the top? Don't want to waste my money so any recommendations much appreciated. Thanks!

I would recommend Wilton for those as they have a variety.  I personally have this one and I like it but I would not rent it out...for my small side business I leave that to the customer.

Personally, I hate that wilton stand. It holds the cupcakes crooked and I find that extremely annoying, especially if you have tall decorations on the cupcakes.

I have the acrylic stand and I absolutely love it!

LOL I like it but I understand that if you want a more professional look, I have used it form kid's parties.  I agree that the acrylic one might be better for nicer situation.

Here is the one we just bought. Only used it once so far but it is extremely durable and I believe no problem to ut a cutting cake on the top of any of these tiers.  you can use all seven levels or as many levels as you need.  It looks really pretty once loaded up also because it is very minimalist and doesn't distract from the food placed on it.

In this display we had a dummy cake on top.

Here is the one we just bought. It's acrylic and very stable.  don't believe there would be any problems putting a cutting cake on any of the levels.  I love the acrylic because it is very minimalist and doesn't distract from any of the food placed on it.    http://www.cheerico.com/cupcake-stands-tower/6-7-tier-stands/7-tier-acrylic-square-pole-cupcake-stand-display.html
