I cannot seem to find any threads relating to this topic. I would like to know how people stand 2 dimensional cake toppers on top of a cake. I have tried placing a lollipop or skewer in between a front and mirror image to stand it up on a cake however, it seems to show the seem where the two images adhere together. Any other suggestions for standing up 2D cake toppers on a cake?

AThe way I do it is almost exactly as you said except I let the front piece dry totally flat then I lay and press the back piece over the stick so that it too is flat except for a little 'speed bump' where the stick is.

I also always use a slightly smaller mirror image so you can't see any overlap

I have also tried poking a sugar glue coated bamboo skewer into a thick piece of GP, rolling the GP just slightly more and then cutting the shape out but I find that takes too long to dry

Thank you for your advice. I don't know why I never thought of drying the front piece to stiffen it up in order to disguise the bump where the front and back adheres to the lollipop stick. Thanks again!!
