Hi All

I am a new member just signed up today but have been on this site loads there are loads of helpful people on here :D

Well I was hoping there is someone that can help me with this question, I am making a first birthday cake for my niece today her first birthday is tomorrow and my sister has asked I make a cake similar to one I will be showing you guys in a min

The problem I am having is I am not sure if that is a real cupcake or is it full fondant cupcake or how to make it lol

Any help will be really appreciated especially if you have any tutorial links for me I am quite a visual learner :D

Thank You so much and happy baking :cake:

It doesn't look like a "real" cupcake to me. but it could be cake sculpted to look like one...or  a large cupcake with a fondant cupcake liner and "frosting."

AI would guess it is a cupcake or rice krispy treat adorned in fondant. If it were strictly made from fondant, it would be super heavy. Personally, I would use rice krispy treat for more stability.

AI thought about RKT - I figured it would just be easier To throw some cake batter into big cupcake Pan.

It seems to be all make of fondant or RKT but you can also bake a real one in a silicon mould and then cover it with fondant to become like this one.
