My sister in law would like this gold glitter paint effect on her wedding cake. I know about edible gold metallic paint and edible gold glitter but I'm not sure if the two can be combined? Any ideas on how to create this effect? Thank so much. I would be so appreciative of any one who knows how I can do this!

It's hard to tell for sure, but that looks like gold glitter/disco dust combined with gold luster dust paint (dust+vodka). I wouldn't put disco dust directly onto a cake because it's plastic, but you can get a sililar look if you use the luster dust and vodka to make a thick paint. You'd have to make it pretty thick but it will definitely look like gold. Or you could also include some gold leaf in it. Here's an article that I wrote...and read the comments under it, there are a couple more tips that were added. http://acaketorememberva.blogspot.com/2012/03/how-to-get-gold-finish-on-fondant.html
