AI made a smash cake in the shape of a pumpkin and left it out at room temp and today, only 2 hours before it's to be delivered, it's hard as a rock!!! This is no good! How do I soften it quickly!!!! Please help!!!!
How is it hard?? Did you put fondant on it? Pull the fondant off and ice it in buttercream....buttercream won't harden.
Put it in the fridge (20 mins.) or freezer (10 mins.). Cover it with a plastic container, pot, whatever will sit over it and not touch it, and let it come to room temp. It'll sweat and that will soften the fondant. Keep it covered as long as possible before serving.
