AHi everyone. My son's class are holding an autum fayre and have asked of I could make them some cookies..which id love to do but....eveytime im rolling the cookie dough it cracks! Its been in the frodge for 2 hours and its a recipie I found in a magazine. I thought cookies would be much easier than cakes-how wrong I was!
Can anyone tell me wherr im going wrong?
Thanks x
let the cookie dough warm up a bit to room temp-- should go smoother--
you may need to get them on the cookie sheet then fridge that to get the dough chilled again--
Roll out the room temp dough between two sheets of parchment or wax paper. Slide the whole sheet onto your pan, and chill. Then cut out shapes, and move to baking sheet. Reroll the scraps the same way. Now you are not adding a lot of flour to your dough, which would make it tougher.
