AHi Everyone! I'm new here and thought you could help. I'm starting up a little home based cake decorating business and realized I should have a contract for clients to sign. I don't know where to start to create one. Are there templates anywhere that I could reference? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Do a search on here for cake contracts, there have been a few threads on this topic. You'll want to take whatever you come up with to a local attorney to make sure that what you're having people sign is legal and will hold up in court if it comes to that. Some things are legal in one place but not in others, and some things need to be phrased in certain ways. When I had an attorney review my contract it came back a page longer and with a bunch of legalese that hadn't been in there before.

AGood call on the lawyer thing...I hadn't even thought if that.
