AI have a really great recipe for honey madelines. I want to make my daughters birthday cake into a beehive, so honey flavored cake would be great. I adore this recipe, but can you turn madelienes into a cake? Or does anyone have a great honey cake recipe?

AI looked everywhere for a honey cake recipe a few months ago. They all seemed very wet. I ended up with orange cake and used a honey filling. I found several honey buttercream recipes. If I could figure out how to attach a link from my phone, I would give you a list. I just googled honey cake filling, honey buttercream

I use my mad recipe thin sponge layers and cake rolls all the time, I have never tried to bake them thicker than 3/4" though.

ASo ot would just have to be lots of layers. Except for the bowl, I guess that would have to be different. Unless I just carved?

I've just never tried it any thicker, since I always want thin layers when I do it. I really don't see why you couldn't, I just can't vouch for it working.
