Instead of looking for a tutorial for each and every figurine you make - try looking at a model of one if you have it - or a picture on the internet.  To make figurines we basically 'deconstruct' them - break them down into basic shapes - balls, cones, sausages etc -  take note on your pic of scale ratio - ie, is the head 1/4 of total length ?

TMNT for example has more of a triangle head - and an inverted triangle body - limbs are long sausage that you can thin out where you want to define muscles. bend and flatten ends into a 'paddle' shape to make hands/feet.
Skewer or toothpick can be inserted into body to help attach head.

Once you have mastered this 'concept' of figuring out how to go about something from a picture - you will no longer require a tutorial for everything........ funnily enough - 10 years ago there were NO tutorials for anything - you learnt techniques from books and then just 'had a go'

The internet quite often stifles your creativity and plays havoc with your confidence.   Make yourself up some paste - turn the computer OFF and have a play.   You will soon see what works and what doesn't
