AI know your supposed to use dowels for extra support but I want to know if your supposed to leave each tier on its cake board (usually made of cardboard), or do you remove each tier from the board and stack them..? I hope I'm making sense lol

Also if anyone could leave me any link to any pictures, videos

ALeave the cakes on the cake board. Search cake stacking on you tube.

The dowels are useless without the boards, and vice versa, a support system works by letting the dowels and boards take the weight, instead of the lower cakes.

If you just google 'how to stack a cake', there are tons of picture and video tutorials.
