Hello ladies and gentlemen, last week I bought a cake from a fellow cake maker as I had no time to make a cake for a dinner and I did not want a Wal-Mart cake. When I was cutting into the cake I felt something rough in there and the lady used skewers to attach the cake to the board, it was a two layer 8 inch, have ya'll seen this technique used before? I do about four rings of frosting on the bottom of my first layer to attach it to the board since it works kind of like a suction cup.
