Llc Or Not ?

AHi, I am planning to start a small at-home bakery, now my main concern is whether I should open a LLC or just start my work without it ? Thanku .

AWhere do you live, and how much will the LLC cost?

AI live in Seattle, WA. I haven't investigated the price of LLC. Do u hv any rough idea how much it costs ?

AIt looks like it costs ~$200 to form the LLC and about $60/year thereafter in WA, which is pretty reasonable, so if you have a significant amount of personal assets then it's probably worth it. But if you can't afford both the LLC and business liability insurance (~$300-500/year) get the insurance.

Keep in mind that you are limited to $15K in annual gross sales in WA so that might factor into your decision.
