I want to make this wedding gown cake. What is going to be the best icing recipe to do so? I would like something that's not too buttery but not too sweet and obviously something stiff enough for the roses! I'm going to be decorating this tomorrow so any help would be greatly appreciated. i would try either swiss meringue buttercream or american buttercream

and for what it's worth i would not let that poor girl out of the house with those giant burgeoning hips

i'd narrow them down a bit at the top and make the dress wider at the hem just a bit for balance -- just me

hope i didn't step on any toes

i'm sure it's just the angle of the camera

don't mind me--that might throw the whole thing off for you-

ball gowns are like that! of course

for amercian buttercream to be not too sweet--you could use buttermilk

for swiss mbc to not be too buttery  use enough vanilla

best to you!

Thanks ladies! I think maybe ill try a Swiss meringue, now to find a good recipe :S. don't worry k8memphis you didn't step on any toes! I made the dress out of the Wilton wonder mold so she's got a nice full skirt!
