Hi, I am also in UK and brought one of these from Craft company 6 weeks ago. I now have over 10 orders for my cake in different colours and cannot find them anywhere. Apparantly the suppliers have put the cost up for postage as many were getting broken coming from US to UK so thats why the cost has risen so high. I am trying to ring around as many suppliers as i can to see if any still in stock from old supplies locally.

If I were making over 10 of them, I would disassemble one to use as a pattern, and start making them from flower paste! Saving hundreds and hundreds of dollars.

another way to do it is to get a foam cutter and make them out of solid foam--

a learning curve at first but you'd be very good at it by the time you did a couple

srsly though--check that out maybe

this is an american company that does sell to overseas with the correct electricalities but shoot their shipping is sky high and i'm in the states

I find it amazing that they have raised the price, since my clients were already unwilling to pay for them at $44 a pop. How much do you guys charge, if you don't mind me asking?

liverpoolcupcake Posted 19 Mar 2013 , 8:57pm

im in Liverpool england .so the price wont be  in comparison to what you would pay or be charged .xx

AHiya, I am new to cake making. Basically I don't have a clue but I am going to attempt to make my daughters birthday cake so I have been out and so far spent about £200 on cake items from te tins to gum paste.

Anyway I'm from birmingham in the UK & today I was in my local cake shop (like a lemon) asking for all different items which I didn't know the correct names for lol. But I seem these on the display shelf and I didn't really know how you would use them as I'm not that experienced.

Maybe you could ring them and see if they deliver. It's icing world, Warwick road, Acocks green, birmingham. Google the shop. Sorry I am using my phone an don't know how to copy and paste direct link. I'm sure they was priced at £22.99

Hope this helps even thou you seem to have found some.

:)
