Hello everyone! I am in need of some help, I have a grooms cake that was requested to be a Spitton ( a container used for chewing tobacco). Any ideas on how I should go about constructing the cake will be greatly appreciated :)

Here's a pic of the Spitton

AIf weight up top is a concern, carve the bottom and use crispy treats on top? Or if that's still too heavy or saggy, use (food safe) plastic wrapped foam for the very top so it stays rigid. Cover all in fondant. Don't know if that helps any. I carve a lot, so I'm seeing what I'm saying but not sure if it makes sense.
