Hi All!  I was hoping that someone could shed some light on how they would attempt this black ribbon type topper?  Also, how would u guys do the initials?  I have cake basics for the cricut, i was thinking just cutting them out that way out of gumpaste and 'glueing' them to pop sticks to stand up.

My main concern is the topper.  Do you guys have any suggestions?

It opened for me.  Here is the pic.  Sadly I don't have an answer.

AThe cake topper just looks like fake foliage that may be stuck to the top or through a small hole. The initials can be done with gumpaste or royal icing. I personally would do it with royal icing and include a stem at the bottom that would allow me to stick them into the cake.

I'd thread the ribbons through a straw and jam that into the cake.

Great idea guys.  So you'd just use regular curling ribbon?  I love the idea of the royal icing, although my cake last week had a royal icing bow on my baby carriage and it shattered.  I must have done something wrong...

Anyway Do you guys think that regular curling ribbon would stick out like that?  I'll totally use the straw idea, that's great!
