A.Hi all, I know I got a couple of tips in my previous post, but all I have right now is a cell phone camera :/ yikes lol! Ill be getting a camera for my business with in a month or two but as for now any good tips on taking photo's with a camera phone? It has flash if that helps at all, thanks in advance!
AI stopped taking pictures with my camera and now only use my iPhone (4s) camera. Sometimes I will turn the flash on but motly I leave it on "auto". It's more about the light you have in the room. Natural light is always best but not direct sun. I've enlarged and printed my pictures so I know it's good resolution. It all depends on the kind of phone you have. My sister's Blackberry jut doesn't take a great picture (or is it my sister? Hmmm!)
Yup, I agree with Theresaf. I have a new and expensive Canon Powershot Camera, and I still favor my IPhone for pictures.
I did have a BlackBerry and it took horrible photos which is why I got the new Camera. And now that I have an IPhone, my camera just sits and collects dust.
Hi - I'm in the same boat!
I do a lot of food photography. I use my iphone for about 90% of the pics I take nowadays.
One of the biggest keys to getting the best quality photos and videos, is image stability. I've purchased just about every type of mini tripod, but the best all around tool that I found is a thing called a Camera Clipper. I've been getting great results with it. It's sort of like a clippable monopod/tripod. I like that I don't have to take my phone out of the case to use it. Anyways you can google it or the site address is http://cameraclipper.com.
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Dan
Very possible now with such good cameras on phones. I took a class at lynda.com on mobile photography with this guy and so I now know you can. Of course I still like my DSLR, but they're so big to take around.

You can download a guide of what apps and accessories are out there at this link.

I checked out lynda.com after reading this post and I've been on that site for HOURS. It's like Craftsy with a college degree. I got my DSLR in the mail today and I'm so glad they have photography courses (thank you Jesus). Between CC, Craftsy, and now lynda (and Lord knows how many other educational sites and DVDs I've invested in) I'm going to be oh, so fancy with my cakes and super awesome photos.
OP you might want to check out that site. You'll be hooked.
AEvery year I pay the $250 membership at lynda.com. I'm a graphic designer and I have to keep on top of the software i use, that keeps on being upgraded.
The photography classes with Ben Long are amazing. And there's also a product photography class that's good. My boyfriend is into photography, that's how I know.
You have to be very disciplined to get your money's worth though. Your membership, unlike craftsy's classes, is not forever. But it's really like taking classes at a university. They only have the best. This long holiday weekend I'm taking illustrator 6, about 30 hours of training, and I won't let anything stop me!
Yes Ben Long is awesome. Had to go back to the Foundation of Photography courses before continuing with the DSLR class. Even saw one course on food photography. Thanks for bringing up that site imagenthatnj.
