Hey All,
Just made this exorcist themed cake last weekend, and I wanted to share with you how I made the motorized element, in case anyone needs something to spin in the future. Its actually quite genius, its an add-on rotisserie motor for a barbecue! Its a small motor with a removable square rod that spins slowly, and can hold lots of weight! It plugs in, so you do have to worry about that, but then it can be left on for hours! It would need to be slightly adapted for each use, as the rod is about 18 inches long, and would need to be cut to length, but it worked wonderfully for my design! Heres a youtube link of it in action:

Anyone have any questions? :)
Oh WOOW Awesome
where did you get the motor, which model, do you have a link for one? I'm going to start googling soon, at least I have a name for the thing now
wow there are even ones with Battery use, so no need to worry about a socket being present
Brilliant idea, I'm off the the BBQ shop. I'm scratching my idea of using a little hobby size motor. TFP
This one looks like the one I used. May not work in small designs, as the motor is about 3" x 5" or so, but it is heavy duty so you dont have to worry about the weight buckling the motor!
