Has anyone tried making cake pops or balls out of the cored centers of cupcakes? i hate throwing mine away. seems like there should be a way to use them.

I've made cake pops from leftover cupcakes. What I don't understand is why you core a cupcake. You don't need to do it to put in a cream or ganache filling.

i 'core' it to take out the center if i want a filling. i dont like the cone method or replacing the tops. so i scoop out a small part of the center & fill it with whatever.
