I am so very disappointed. All week, I have been looking forward to getting my first order from Dawn! Not only does it make me feel like a "real" business, but the base will save me lots of time & energy and allow a true white frosting.

I chose this product because I have used it. A very reputable, high end bakery in my town uses it. They add vanilla, almond, & water. That's it! Just mix. Nice & easy. The package says you can just add water, but I knew it would need a bit of doctoring.

Well, when I struck out on my own, I had to make my own buttercream. Of course, I make it from scratch. Have to! So I have been so excited. I literally jumped up & down when it came.

It's awful. The texture is perfect. It's light & flufly & wonderful. It taste horrid. I added & doctored but nothing helped. My husband said it tasted like Publix. I took it to a few neighbors & did a blind taste test. They all picked mine.

I guess I should be proud & happy they all like mine. I'm heartbroken. I need a bigger mixer!!

Oh boy! Sorry about that. I heard Sam s Club have nice buttercream in big containers.

Instead, I purchased the high ratio shortening from Dawn. I LOVE it!! It made all the difference in my buttercream.

I couldn't be happier! Well....if I had a larger mixer....

I use the Dawn foods Deccorice fondnat all the time and love it..It tastes and smells like Cotton Candy...Never use their BC base..I alway make my own from scratch also...

Lol! @ the comment about having a bigger mixer! I hope u get that mixer!
