I'd like to make petit fours for a baby shower. I've seen a lot of pictures of petit fours decorated with booties, etc. How are the decorations made? I assume fondant? Any suggestions would be very helpful!! Thanks!!

Make with buttercream to figure pipe directly on top.
Make with royal icing in advance to place later.
