Hi All,

I have to make the 3D Cuddly Bear cake for September. She wants Carrot cake but I usually use a instant pudding mix in either a white or chocolate base cake to make it denser..What pudding mix have you used for a carrot cake mix??Carrot cake alone won't be strong enough for that cake to hold together...

Any suggestions from those who have done this...

Thanks thumbs_up.gif

I would think vanilla pudding mix would be the most neutral flavor that would go well with carrot cake.

Carrot cake is a pretty dense cake as it is! Do you really need to add something?

Well I will be using a box mix and not scratch and those are not as dense as scratch so that is why I asked...

Try a can of crushed pineapple . I only make carrot cake from scratch so mine are already dense.

I've used carrot cake box mixes before and they were pretty dense.

This was my first thought, too.

I also have some limited edition boxes of pumpkin pudding mix and I think that would work well--but it won't be back in stores for a few months icon_cool.gif

I'd think that in the end, vanilla would be just fine.
