What Is Different Between Beat And Whisk
Baking By cute-littletas Updated 20 Jul 2012 , 1:50pm by niehfangkangch
some of my cupcakes recipe written whisk and beat..Is it same or different method? btw I am new in world of baking..still a lot need to learn and practise..hope you all can help and guide me..tq
Completely unscientific reply ahead :
I always matched the verb to the noun. If a recipe says beat, then I use the paddle attachment (beater) on my mixer. If it says whisk, I use the wire whisk attachment.
Before I got my KA, I beat in my Sunbeam mixer and whisked in a separate bowl by hand with either a hand-held wire whisk or a fork.
HTH!
Some cheaper mixers do not bring a whisk attachment which is the one on the far right, the other two are beaters. The whisk puts more air into it.
Thank you for all your kind reply,, will start experiment the technique of making the right cupcake ..
