I am just starting out with fondant, and I must say it had been a very successful endeavor! But I am having trouble making vibrant colors that match the top or the colors on the lid so I decided to paint some, this kind of worked but it still wasn't exactly what I was looking for.
Would it be easier to just paint and mess with the dilution and stuff or just knead in the colors and mess around with that? Help!

The longer you let fondant sit, the deeper the color will be. My suggestion would be to color the dye the fondant a little while before you're ready to start using it, then see if it's closer to the color you wanted.
