How do I watermark pictures for my website?

I use a free program called Picasa 3. You can write what you want on the photo, and then change the strength of the transparency, so you have that almost see-through effect.

I use an app for iphone/ipad called iwatermark. When I got it, it was only .99. Very easy to use.
