So I would like to use this recipe for a 3d car cake Im making tomorrow but wondering what size pan can I make it in? I have a 8x12 pan, so how cakes can I get out of the batter? Also how long should I bake it for? http://cakecentral.com/recipe/durable-cake-for-3d-and-wedding-cakes

I looked at the recipe (looks very tasty, by the way, I think I'll try it out soon!). I usually use another doctored cake mix recipe, the one for the WASC cake. It makes about one and a half times as much as the original box mix does, but it has extra flour and sugar as well as the eggs and the sour cream. For your recipe I imagine it would make about one and a quarter times the original amount, so take a look at what the box suggests for different pan sizes and go from there.
