Hello,
i'm new here and have come for some advice. i'm a prof chef but a real novice with cakes and decorating. each year for my kids i do my best to make an exciting cake on whichever theme they choose. my son has chosen the game "halo" as his theme. i'm doing a copy of a cake i've found online and had a question on the frosting.

the cake is square with sort of army green colored fondant or icing. i think it's fondant but i want to use buttercream, smooth it with viva etc... i was wondering if i would be better off tinting the buttercream or airbrushing the color on.

thanks in advance!

If you're an experienced airbrusher, go ahead and do that. Otherwise, I would tint it.
