Hi.

I made strawberry cupcakes for my son's schools Bake Sale. I wanted to pair it with strawberry SMBC frosting, but only have butter substitute (I Can't Believe It's Not Butter), in the house. Will this work? I'd hate to waste all the ingredients if someone knows the answer already.

Thanks a ton!

I make smbc and imbc all the time. It will not work. You have to use unsalted real butter. Some people use salted and unsalted mixed. I always , use unsalted in any recipe. hth

Thanks! I took your advice and decided not to go with the SMBC, this time. I just went with indydebi's buttercream and added pureed strawberries into it.
