I need to create a vegetable patch on the top of a cake and need to make something to look like dirt or soil but the customer does not like chocolate at all.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you in advanced!

Could you bake vanilla cake and add some brown food color and then crumble it for dirt, I have used Graham crackers but that looks more like sand

I used chocolate teddy bears on my garden cake. I guess you could use vanilla cookies of any kind and mix brown dusting powder or something like that. For me the chocolate teddy bears was great. S0 go, no choclate and tint it. hth

I use brown fondant. Leave it out so it goes hard & then crumble it or finely chop it
