Hello I am new to cakecentral and I am looking for some information. I live in NW Indiana and the only cake supplies are at our local Walmarts or Michaels and even those are limited. I am looking for some online cake supply stores that you have had success with purchases. Specifically I am looking for good coloring and impression mats.

Also I am looking for made from scratch cake recipes. Maybe there is a thread on this that I have not found yet so I apologize if I am asking about something already posted.

Thanks for your help!

I order quite a bit from Country Kitchen Sweet Art, they have some of everything and seem pretty well priced. There are a ton of online stores you can buy from though and sometimes it really pays to shop around.

There are a ton of recipes of all kinds on here that I have found very helpful. I also recently ran across Crumb Boss, she is awesome! If you go to her website for woodland bakery, nj she has a section for blogs and videos and posts all of her recipes plus videos on how to make them.

Good Luck!

For fondant, premade gum paste and americolor gels I use J E S T E R S. just google it. Also some Wilton has some of the best impression mats for the pric, about $20 less if you use a coupon at Michaels.

Hi --
I don't know where you are in NW Indiana, but Country Kitchen Sweet
Art is located in Fort Wayne -- an actual, physical store
with more goodies in it than you can imagine. I don't have the address/location
with me, but you can probably Google it. They have a map. Or PM me and I'll send address to you.
By the way -- they are also EXCELLENT when ordered from on the Internet. Very friendly and responsive. [/b]
