Hi All,

I have been asked to make an XBOX 360 Controller with 45 servings and am stressing out...I had planned to make a 10" square & 4" deep dense chocolate cake. I have a print out of a template . But now I feel it may be too small!! Help me please... the client wants this cake for Christmas eve.

Thanks in Advance

I would bake 2 large sheet cakes and carve from there.

I just made a controller about two weeks ago using a single half-sheet, cut in half to make two 12" by 9" by 2" tall layers. Once covered in ganache and fondant, I'm pretty sure it would feed at least 20 people. Using two full half-sheets would give you more than enough servings, I think.

Yes, that will be too small. Even before carving, a sq 10x4 is only 34 servings - AND the shape of the controller would be too deep for it's width. I would start with a half sheet (12x18x4"). At 3" deep it is 54 servings before carving, or 72 servings at 4" deep.
