I have been saving for a stand mixer for a while and I am down to 2. my husband wants and will use a meat grinder alot, I will use it primerily for baking, it will get used a few times a month maybe more.
my husband's favorite, http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00889108000P?prdNo=4&blockNo=4&blockType=G4
pros: 2 bowls, fits kitchenaid attachments
my favorite http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=14620451
pros: larger bowl, timer

what are your thoughts, and stories about customer service? and how could I possibly get them cheaper?
TIA

If you are using it to sell cakes, then you should have it designated just for cakes. If it is just for you family then obviously it is up to you what you do with it! lol
I found a used one for my husband to use to grind meat with.
I use a kitchen Aid 600 Pro Refurbished for my cakes. I love it. You can find them on craigslist also. I just sold one on craigslist for $100 with no attachments. If it ever breaks on you, there is a website that has all the parts really cheap and instructions on how to fix it.

It is just for home use. My husband has a fairly large family and I regulary make desserts and rolls for family get to gethers.
