Laying 2 Fondant Color Next To Each Other

How do I lay 2 different fondant color on a cake and it look clean like in this picture. http://cakecentral.com/gallery/1551511/1656047
I need to make clean seams like this. Please help! icon_smile.gif

Lay each color slightly overlapping each other, dusted with cornstarch, and make the cut. That way the cut edges will be identical and fit together nicely. I hope this makes sense.

When I did the two colors like this I laid the first color on and cut the line for it. Then I laid the second color on, and used the previous line (and a ruler since I was doing straight lines) to cut the second. Using my finger I rubbed over the seems to match them up.
