Good Morning Everyone -

I am in search of inexpensive-- cheap--- tapered candle molds that I can use for chocolate- I am making a Phantom of the Opera cake. Chances are I will not be using them ever again (so I don't want to spend a lot of money)

Thank in advance
Mo

Dont know where to get molds from but could you make the candles from fondant or gumpaste and add ganache for the drips or melt the fondant down for them.

You can try cybercakes.com they have a lot of candy molds

A candle shape is probably the easiest thing in the world to make. Roll a sausage out, and take a fondant smoother, angle it down, and start rolling back and forth across the sausage. It will taper naturally, and you'll know what to do from there. I hope that made sense.
