Hello everyone!!

I like to top my cupcakes with fondant figures, however, in the past I have found that my fondant becomes all wet and mooshy when it sits on my usual cream cheese frosting for an hour or two.

I am wondering, does creme cheese break down fondant because of the moisture? OR is my heavy whipped cream to blame for this (my recipe is half whipped cream, half creme cheese)?

My second question would be, other than buttercream (I HATE TE TASTE), does anyone have any good frosting recipes that are alright for fondant and would go with strawberry-filled vanilla cupcakes? Maybe a creme cheese recipe that could hold fondant?

This is the only recipe I use. The cake with the pink flowers and baby angels sitting on meringue clouds is decorated in this frosting. I have never had a problem with this crusting cream cheese butter cream. http://cakecentral.com/recipes/2047/crusting-cream-cheese-icing/
