This may seem like an odd question but here goes...I made my first scratch vanilla cake for a 3-D Tow Mater. Now I hate sweets, weird I know but they make me sick whenever I eat them. So I only take a small bite of my cakes when I make them.
So the question is...what kind of texture should a vanilla cake have? Does it have the same texture as a regular white/chocolate cake? This one seems to be really sweet and kind of in between a pound cake and a chocolate cake in its density. It also really has no flavor (to me) is it suppose to be so blah?
Im TRYING to do more totally from scratch cakes, however I have never been known for my abilities in the kitchen and I've only been at this for a little while.
Thanks for helping this silly baker...Ok, I AM being silly because my maiden name was Baker
Vanilla is a flavor not a type of cake.
The type of cake you make will determine the texture, density, etc.
