Q Regarding Choc Moulds

hi cakers, just a couple questions for you!!
has anyone ever used modelling paste in a plastic chocolate mould? if so experiences and tips please!!
can you paint chocolate with anything? what is the best way to achieve colours when using chocolate?
what sort of thermometer do you use to temper? there are a few around and i dont know which one is best!!

why am i asking, have found a chocolate motorcyle could that is perfect for a cake i have coming up and havent used alot of moulds just basic shapes.

any input would be great!

If you are using a mold, why not just buy chocolate candy melts? They are already tempered, they come in a variety of colors and are easy to work with. You melt and pour into the mold, let it set, remove and there you have it.

Yep, candy melts would be the easiest way to go , my fav are Merckens brand very creamy and yummy!
