Hi,

Costing out my items and am stumped on how to cost this out. It cost $2.68 for 2 oz and most recipies call for 1 tsp., how much would this be? I have actually weighed it on a scale as I add it to a mix and it is 0.01 of an ounce.
doing the math 2.68/0.01=268...so is that $0.03 for a tsp?

There are 12 tsp in 2 ox, so 2.68 divided by 12 = .22 cents per tsp.

When figuring out cost of goods it's important not to confuse weight ounces with volume ounces. For instance, a one pound container (16 ounces) of raisins by weight has approx 3 cups (24 ounces) of raisins by volume.
