How do I make flames for the back of a car cake that are not made of fondant? I was thinking maybe candy glass but I wasnt' sure.

Hi,
If you could make sugar glass flames that would the best, coloured red, orange and yellow, it would have a slightly clear look about it aswell, like a real fire, the only other things are gumpaste or white modelling chocolate painted.

Someone made pulled sugar flames, they look cool,
