I have been asked to make a red velvet cake for a birthday party. Refrigeration is not an option which rules out the typical cream cheese icing. I have seen other recipes for Red Velvet cake that use an icing that is made with flour. Does this icing taste good and can it be used for a carved cake? The cake will be a 2D deer head.
Thanks

I don't have a specific one that I was going to use. I found a few when I googled red velvet cake icing.

Yes, it tastes good. It's a very light icing. If I remember correctly, it is not a crusting one, though.
