So is there a list somewhere of cake sizes and number of servings? For both weddings and parties. I use the Wilton chart for weddings. But is there a good party serving size chart? I guess nobody is going to cut the same size pieces anyway. I do mostly sheet cakes, but I need to do a two tier cake for 60 people. I was going to do a 14" and a 10" round. Does that sound right? Thanks!

Wilton has the charts on their website. Most (but not all) in the business use that chart as the standard. A 10" and 14" round would yield 116 servings for me (I use the 1x2x4inches for all cakes, not just weddings). For 60 people, I would use a 10" and 6" round. This is also taking into account cakes that are 4 inches high (two layers).

Hope this helps!

Like Brenda549, I use the same size for both weddings and parties, but I use Earlene's chart here is the link: http://www.earlenescakes.com/ckserchart.htm
Then I give the client a cutting guide so they cut it to the right size.
