My son wanted an burrowing owl in his underground burrow for his b-day cake. So I stacked the cakes, carved out a burrow, painted the burrow darker brown than the fondant all around. Then put the RKT owl in on a chocolate nest. The problem is the painting on fondant looks bad! It's sloppy looking....

Any ideas what I could use instead? TIA!

Maybe coat it in piping gel and then cookie crumbs?

have you tried to use ever clear liquior will evaporate but it will mix with the pearl dust or color dust and make the painting look a lot better . good luck

This worked great! I used crushed oreo for the burrow and graham crumbs for the rest. Thanks for the idea - never would have thought of it! icon_smile.gif
