Hi, my kids loved the strawberry flavored cakes you get from the box mixes. I have tried to make strawberry flavored cakes with real strawberry puree but they don't like the bits of real fruit. Does anyone have a from scratch recipe for strawberry flavored cake without using real fruit?

This one seems to be pretty good, you could possibly take out the puree, or sub jelly minus some sugar? :

Why not just strain your puree? I make strawberry cupcakes using fresh strawberries that I zip in the food processor and then strain through a sieve.

I use a half of pack of strawberry Kool aide in my strawberry cake. It adds great strong flavor and a pretty color.

Is that sweetened or unsweetened Kool aid? Sounds interesting..
