I have a 3D Lightning Mcqueen cake due for tuesday.I carved the cake yesterday and crumbcoated but I cut the wheel wells too high and I am afraid that when I lay the fondant overtop it is going to break the wheel wells off from the weight. icon_cry.gif

So...I decided that maybe BC is the way to go...Customer prefers BC anyways but I told her fondant would look better..(Which it does) but I don't want to break the cake either... icon_redface.gif

What is the best way to smooth the BC around the curves and it not look sloppy.I don't want to star tip it either... icon_wink.gif

Should I just say fooey and cover in fondant anyway..There really is no way to attach the top of the wheel well to make it sturdy...and if it cracks off..I am hooped!!

What to do...What to do.... icon_rolleyes.gif
